- Commisioning service for our minister, Rev Keith Osmund-Smith, as Coordinating Chaplain for Workplace Chaplaincy in Telford.
Following the successful application made by Madeley Baptist Church members, the Baptist Union of Great Britain and Heart of England Baptist Association have agreed to fund this half time post through Madeley Baptist Church.
Telford Christian Council have said that they are extremely grateful for this support and that the post will pick up work which Peter Cope was doing in relation to Industrial Mission and Workplace Chaplaincy. Keith took up this work at the beginning of June.
Keith will be commissioned as the Telford Christian Council Coordinating Chaplain for Workplace Chaplaincy during a service on Saturday 11th July at 2.00pm in the Chapel of Christ the King, Meeting Point House. The Service will be led by Rev David Lavender, Ecumenical Dean of Telford and the preacher will be Rev Adrian Argile, Regional Minister for the Heart of England Baptist Association. All are welcome to share in this service.
- The regular Wednesday Prayer Meeting will in future start at 7.14pm and be known as The Seven:14 Prayer Meeting. The name (and time of meeting) refers to 2 Chronicles 7:14. If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
