Coinciding with the 150th Anniversary of the opening of the High Street chapel (6th April 1858) we expanded into the local community by commencing to hold our Sunday Morning services at the John Randall School in the Hills Lane area of Madeley.
On Sunday 6th April 2008 we began with a celebration praise and a short sermon in the chapel attended by Lord and Lady Grocott (Bruce and Sally) and other friends of Madeley Baptist Church.
The congregation then left the church and led by Ben Trumpeter (our Boys' Brigade Captain) and Wellington (Telford) Brass Band, the Brigade and Congregation processed from Ænon Chapel to the School via the Hills Lane estate. The banners flew and the light covering of snow glistened in the sunshine adding to the festive feeling.
At John Randall School we socialised over refreshments before a short service which included addresses by Lord Grocott and the Rev. Dennis Weller. Throughout we were supported by many friends who joined us including members of the local police.
